There's no shortage of cafés, shops, bars and restaurants in Cancale. There's something to suit every taste and budget. You can eat your way from a snack bar to a Michelin-starred restaurant (early booking essential!) without leaving Cancale, and as soon as you widen your search radius there's a plethora to choose from, thanks to the proximity of Saint Malo.
Here are a few of our favourites close to the gites**.
OYSTER TASTING*
MARCHE AUX HUITRES The Port de la Houle is home to oyster farmers who sell their oysters to take away or offer oyster tasting platters. They don't sell alcohol, so you'll have to make your own arrangements or find some in nearby sales outlets (lorries, bars, etc.).

L’ATELIER DE L’HUITRE is a restaurant offering oysters and/or seafood in a comfortable setting. Direct from the oyster farmer and takeaway available.
